wraps for headers on intake tube?

Default wraps for headers on intake tube?

i noticed on this site a guy had his intake tube wraped in that heat protection stuff for headers will it do anything as to cool the air if it is put on the intake tube??

acts like insulation to keep iats down when under hood temps go up at idle and slow speeds, doesnt cool anything. Just like insulation in a cooler or you home.

that was V8 here on the boards. i dont think it didnt make any difference in temps.

Dont use wraps. They hold in water and make things rust big time.... On headers anyway.

I remember the post with the wrapped intake tube...the guy said that he didn't see any gains from it.
