Default Would you buy a used blower???

I see prochargers, vortechs, and whipple with 2K- 3K on them everywhere for between 2-2500. My question is how many of you would feel comfortable investing that knid of money on someones word that their blower is 100% intact and complete. Id also like to hear opinions from those who bought their s/c used.

I bought my D1SC kit used. It came with "new" 42lb injectors. I do actually think they were new, but I think my blower had a few more miles on it than what was claimed, but it does work well. I think one of the seals in there is going bad but that can be fixed easily whenever I get around to it. And my fuel pump is bad. Just be ready to spend a little more than you plan on incase its missing some parts or has a few bad parts. Either way, It was still cheaper than buying new. Just see how trustworthy the person is

I bought my Whipple used. The previous owner was a Chevy tech at a dealership in Dallas (I'm in Florida). We spoke about 3 times on the phone...I got good vibes from the detailed way the guy answered every question I posed. I paid him via Visa card through his dad's business - that way, if I had problems, I could get Visa to help. Heck, he suggested that I do it that way for that very reason. It was shipped with every bolt, gasket, harness, and zip tie that would come with a new kit. The unit had (supposedly...who really knows ) only 8000-9000 miles on it. I've had it on for about 15000 miles and it has performed flawlessly. Maybe I was just lucky, but I am 100% satisfied.

And who are you... .. Ive heard of your adventures, How many miles did you drop kick and toss and drag that thing around. Im going to either go with the most reputable site sponser or someone here who will be flat out honest as to what is needed and how much abuse the unit endured. I really seems like buying new is a better deal. 2500 used or 3500 new and warrantied. Would like aradix but Im not going to be on my *** when the tranny goes, I need to have the money to get FLP on the job, Besides it just seems like everyone is out for themselves. Guess I'll just keep dumping money into my S/C piggybank
Please keep the replies coming

How much are you asking?? How many realistic miles are on it. How many times have you changed the oil? How high did you get the boost up too? What are your plans with your vehicle?? Why are you selling the Procharger?? How complete it everything????

I am looking for a used blower. I dont see anything wrong with buying used parts. Like said though, just have good contacts with the seller and ask a lot of specific questions.
