UPDATE - I had to come back home this afternoon to take care of some business so i will post up the latest.

The surgery took 5 hours to complete. He is recovering in PICU right now. Still knocked out from the drugs. Both holes were patched and his one valve was made into two valves. I have some pictures but i left the camera in the hotel room. I'll be back on monday and post up a pic of what it looks like. The site isn't pretty.

BTW the hardest part was letting him go so they could do the surgery. Without a doubt the toughest thing i have ever had to do in my life.

Thanks for all the prayers. they were greatly appreciated!

well here is a pic of my son after surgery. this was taken shortly after surgery and he has two tubes coming out of his frontal area. right now, he only has one tube coming from him. also, he is completely off the pacer (pace maker), his paralytic drugs have been cut off (using milder sedation now), also, he was fighting to wake up but they had to hit him again with some meds to take him back under. all in all, he is doing well. he is probably gonna come off the ventilater tomorrow or wednesday.
