worn tires

anyone else having trouble with their front tires? more specifically, wearing too fast on the outsides? i havn't hit any curbs or major pot holes, had an alignment done and bought new tires the next day. 2 months later the outsidetread is gone and have the steel belt poking through . am i the only one on this one?

we have different tires, but mine are the firestone exploders (wilderness AT), and they look like they may be wearing on the sides already only after 4k miles... oh well, faster they wear, the faster i can get new ones and have an excuse to myself to dish out the $$$ for them.

hey santi, that's along the same lines ast i was thinking..but instead of new tires, just get new wheels and better tires. only thing is, i don't want to have new equipment with same ol' problems.

i never really noticed any extra baldness on my front tires. i rotated them a few times and now they are all equally bald lol

The stock Goodyear wrangler 235's on the front of my truck are wearin down real fast too. I check the pressure at least once a week, and dont hit curbs or ne thing. Soon I will have the GT2's in the front as well

i have the stock goodyear wrangler st. they don't seem to be wearing down too much in the front. the back is a totally different story. 12,000 miles on them and i need new tires. i guess thats what happens when you have a heavy foot, a go all or go home attitude, and you launch from a dead stop with 235 tires.
and i'm sure the problem will get so much better when i get ls1edit.

yea i used to have those 235's on my silverado, those tires were fun to tear up!!
i used to let off the pedal just before it shifted to 2nd, then let off and hit the pedal again and it would scratch like a ****, the back end would go side ways! god i miss that truck!!

took the truck into discount tire. they said my continentals have a 60k mile warranty. so with the tire being under warranty, they gave me partial discount on a new tire. $68 and 2 hours later, i'm back on the street. now i have another problem...the tire they replaced rubs against the inner fender well when turning.
