Default Window Motor Going Out?

My passenger side window is twice as slow as my driver's side window. Its gets to about half way up and slows way down. Its been doing this for a few months but now since the weather is nice outside, I like rolling my windows down more often..

Im guessing the motor is going out? Should I just go ahead and replace it? Or could there be something else going on?

Window regulator takes a crap. You can get em w/ or w/o the motor. It's also takes a toll on these new trucks if u raise/ lower windows when it's cold ( say around 35* or less). It snaps the shitty little cables inside & may even lead to your window droppin down before u fix it. Do u need the part#?

19120847 fit my bro's '02. That's the regulator pass. side w/o motor. I didn't recall what yr u have.

Sorry i dont have much knowledge about windows but what does the window regulator do?

And it rarely gets below 35* where I live and I never take it to the snow, so i dont think i have to worry about that.

I guess the reg. helps to make window go up & down. I can show u better than explain. Basically, years ago they used a metal X, if u will. Kinda of Edward Scissorhands. X would scrunch up or extend, depending if u were goin up or down. Now, they use these cables, & over time, they wear. I did both sides on my bro's '02 w/in lastr yr. The 1 side went, then shortly thereafter the other. Also, seems harder on em when both r lowered @ same time( just my opinion). Even w/o low temps, they seem to wear; I say the cold accelerates the process. Due to the fact the window sticks in track, & weaker parts break. When raisin/ lowerin, don't hold the button down any longer than needed. That motor is far stronger than those nylon gears & scrawny cables.

Oh ok I know what you are talking about now. So the regulator is the cables and stuff that is driven by the motor. Ive seen it before when I had my door panel off while i was doing my speakers.

Is it hard to replace it? Seems like there isnt much room inside there to work.

No, if u've gone that far, u can replace it. I forgot exactly, but pop off mirror inside cover & take off door panel. IIRC, 10mm holds reg. in place. Get some suction cups if workin to hold up window( Snapon sells an inexpensive set, cups attached by little cable that work great.) by yourself. Even if no suction cups, depending on window positioning, u might not need em. Just don't like window slam to bottom, since nothing will prevent that. Anyway, u kinda flex the cables out the hole after you peel back that clear water seal. Swap over that little triangle piece to your new part. I also would put a bit of white grease on slides to prolong life - if u don't know what I mean, grab a flashlite & look what glides up/ down in channel.
Reinstall. I can do these quick. I'm no tech, just been around. In the time I spent on this whole post, it'd be done, if that helps. Lemme know how it goes/ or any other Q's.

thanks fastnblu for your help. I guess Ill have to get a new regulator and throw it in.

The window isnt broken, but Id like to just get it done so it works right.

I wish the lumbar abjustment thing in the passenger seat was as easy to fix :/
