Default Widest tires on nnbs rims

I have a 2000 silverado stepside I have a 4/6 drop kit (not installed yet) and a set of nnbs rims. What is the biggest tire I can fit on the rim in the back. I plan on running 275/40 on the front. Will a 315/35 fit on the rim and is there enought room to fit a 315 without hitting with a 6 inch drop out back.

can you fit it? yes

will it fit the wheel properly? no

will it have proper contact patch? no

a proper 315 should be 11" minimal for good contact patch

Not to mention you aren't tucking a 315 out back either on stock wheels. Terrible idea.

275s are as wide as you can go in the rear with a flip kit, at least on mine with stock 20s. I still had to roll and pull the fenders.

agree 100%

way too often people put a huge tire on a small wheel without thinking about it and shoot themselves on the foot
