basically the same things everyone else said w/ some additions. I can run through the desert, i can go to the snow, i can tow/launch my boat, throw anything/everything in the back, carry a handful of people, it's lifted so there's some privacy, it doesnt sound like a pressure cooker, I can pull any car/truck/or suv out that gets stuck, i can beat any little ricer that thinks he's cool, insurance isnt that bad, im safe in it, if i get hit, there wont be much damage, and i always have a trashcan anywhere i go(the bed). Oh, and i can run ppl over if they **** me off.

 

6L, ext cab, sleeper? looks good? parents said no to Fbody and GTO was too expensive.

For all of the above reasons and one more..............cops don't look at trucks as "Fast" or "Ticket Bait" It's the stealth factor.
I just got on the on ramp a couple weeks ago and whacked it wide open, there was a cop on the opposite side of the road, he thought it was the car behind me making all the noise. I rolled on into the sunset as the guy behind me got pulled over. I quickly exited the freway and took the side roads home.
I guess he thought the stock looking grampa truck was not the culprit.

 

i agree with everyone else....i would just like to add that i would rather climb into my truck and fall out...then have to fall into a car and climb out.....doesnt really make sice but it does to me....

 

yes, I always thought that cops never look at trucks the same as they do cars. I have always been a truck man and even though one is a V6 and the other is under the knife, one will be fast before too long. Both of my trucks handle better than most of my friends cars and get better mileage aswell. Also, nothing is better than doing a great smokey burnout and looking back through the rear glass of the cab and seeing the smoke rush through the gap between the cab and bed.....awesome

 

Yer friends cars suck! Better handling pickup truck? Better fuel mileage too? Yup, I think those cars need help.

oh yeah, i planned a 02ws6 before i got the truck...i woulda had the payments down to 175 after the down payment but i called up the insurance and they told me 375 per mo for that car at my age!!! slow trucks=cheaper insurance

 

well i started with this i was only suppose to get it te 12.s.
but now it is bigger i have to do something that i was told i could never do and that was beat what his z28 ran cause it was a truck,so the modding begain and has not stop.and will not until i get the times i am looking for
