yea, it's an 03, yea it has a 4.8 , what can i say. it sure is fun to drive.



couple of questions though, it is drive by wire, how does that effect ls1edit tuning? is carputing all set up for 03's yet? anyone figure out if the stock computer can control a 4l80e? are there any cool cluster options for 03's since they have diferent clusters?

 

Is this the beginning of the new truck build up? Those '03's grow on you....

 

I think he's going to keep it stock.

LS1 Edit works just fine with my drive by wire. Carputing is almost ready for most 03s. They are having trouble with 03-04 trucks with more options like onstar and XM. By the looks of your truck, you should have no issues (I dont see any fully little black things on top).

Perfect color for a single cam SS conversion. You can drop most of the metal in the bumpers and replace with the plastic SS bumper covers. It would be easy to find a race in a single cab SS.

Won't the SS gauge cluster fit in their with no problems? I'm guessing there will be a couple minor bolt-ons

 

Nice.. 4.8's on the right hands can be very fast. And as far as 03 growing on you, they do. I don't even own one and they have grown on me.
What are you plans with it?

 

I have a sneaking suspicion that the 4.8L won't have alot of miles on it before it gets taken out.

 

What did I miss? What happened to the HD plans?

 

i was never a fan of the chevy new front ends, looks like evyl eyes. that is why i think the GMC fronts look so much nicer. JMO

Since they don't have alot of resale value (the 4.8 that is), maybe he will give it hell and spray it with a 300 shot or something and see if he can take it into the deep 12s.
