Who makes tightest converters?
I'm trying to get alot of converter without having to sacrifices the bad daily driving I will be doing, I wanted to see which converter brand makes tight converters or how do I kno if it's a tight converter or not? Also what's the difference performance wise in a tight and a loose converter?

Tight convertors are good for MPG since they stall less more power goes to driving the wheels. They also hold up well during towing, and help keep your tranny alive longer do to less heat production.
Loose convertors are good for acceleration and your city MPG will suffer due to the ineffeciency of the design.
A fair comprimise maybe around 2200-2400 rpm stall. I ran this in a old pick up and didn't do to bad.

I didnt consider my Yank TT3000 loose.. but it depends on your power output also..
comparing the TT3000 to my Stock 4L80E converter they are a pretty close comparision.. im sure that didnt help you, but for anybody thats drivin both they would know.
