I have always wondered what G.M small block engine is faster in a chevy/GMC 1/2ton truck 0-60 or 1/4 mile the 5.3l or the 6.0l I have herd that the 6.0 is slugish off the line and that the 5.3l is more snappy off the line. I have had 2 5.3l trucks over the past 5 years and never had the chance to race a 6.0l vortech max or SS silverado. hope to here some feedback on this challenge thanks.

 

No replacement for displacement. Stock for stock the 6.0 will always win.

6.0 > 5.3 any day mod for mod.

 

I have raced a 6.0 from this forum running almost identicle setups. His 4l80 to my 4l65 my 4wd to his 2 wheel peel but yes, I agree, more cubes FTW
