Yeah Marc. Alot of those strokers are hitting mid 500rwhp easy. Little bit of planning and you could be there too, even with the drivetrain loss.

....and then you throw the turbo on that

Dang, yeah, I saw that Scream but I totally forgot about those numbers...

I'd definitely be up for pulling motors, just need to check the emissions thing here in MA - I hear it something like cali where you may need the stock displacement? I just got my sticker for the year, and they listed my motor as a 5.3. I guess they don't really pay attention.

STS: May not be legal, but relatively easy to remove.

Radix: Legal.

Heads: Legal.

How could they even tell? Leave all of your truck intake/accessories on it, and they'd never know. The choppy idle might give it away though.

My LS1 looks COMPLETELY stock, and it's aluminum. I have to point out to people that it's an aluminum block...everyone still thinks it's a 4.8.

To be honest I have no idea. I just like to factor in every single little detail that might end up biting me.

tough choice....I'm glad I already picked one. With all these motors and turbo kits now it would be a very hard initial decision. But then again it might just be me, it took me 4 days of reading about waxes/polishes/sealants over on autopia to finally pick one to buy

Seriously.

I think I've narrowed it down to staying with the stock short block. REALISTICALLY thinking: I'd love to do a motor swap, but it wouldn't be practical time/tool/workspace wise right now.

I just sent TSP a note to see how long they're having their special on the AFR 205's for. I'm starting to lean this way pretty heavily. The 66cc's will bump me to about 10.5 to like 10.8:1 static... which would mean that I'd be married to NA for a while.

The heads and other little bolt-ons are easier to keep under the radar and will keep my moddin' bug at bay.

Nitrous LOVES compression.

Good luck...sounds like it's going to be a badass truck no matter which route you take.

That's what I keep hearing...

I **HAVE** to stay away from that stuff.

You might as well hand a 5 year old a lighter and a brick of firecrackers.

Thanks though...
