Yea, it's not supposed to pour in obviously, but some seepage is acceptable. I'm sure that having a little rip in the rubber can't be helping things.

Anybody have any ideas for online sources? It's rained for 3 days here and my floorboard is soaked, it always leaks in the exact same spot, the driver rear corner of the sunroof seal. It wets my headliner and sliding sunshade, puddles up in my leather seat, and runs down into the carpet.

The wierd thing is it only happens when it rains. I cannot replicate it with a water hose laying on the roof of the truck coating everything in a sheet of water.

That doesn't sound too wierd to me, seems like when we have water leak cars at work we can never replicate it either, wether it be with a hose, automated car wash, whatever. But if it happens to rain, sure enough the leak will show itself.

Have you tried lmctruck.com? or maybe carpart.com or G&R Auto Parts? I guess GMPartsDirect.com would probably have what you're looking for and their prices are good, they just always nail you on the shipping

Got full glass coverage? Use a rock and say someone vandalized it...... On a more serious note, can't you just use car-part.com and locate one off a newer truck and just replace the whole thing? Or go to a pick and pull yard and grab about 4 of them off crashed SUV's? I'd stock up while you can and there's nothing wrong with using used weather stripping.

Well, all the junkyards around here listed on car-part.com say that they either 'will only sell it all, glass/track/motor/etc." or their truck was a roll-over and it got damaged. Bottom line, they just want to sell drivetrain parts and don't want to fool with anything else. All the junkyards that let you go out back and look at the cars and decide what parts you want, are the ones who don't have late model stuff. And the ones who do have late model stuff, don't want to deal with you, and won't let you go and look for yourself or pull anything off. They basically just want to deal with insurance and body shops.

And besides, if mine is only 7 years old and leaks, what good will putting a 4-7 year old one on my truck do me?

I will check with the sources listed above, thanks.

And I call the local glass companies to see if they can get something...you'd think I was asking for a winning lottery ticket or some ****. They're all like "no, if the dealer won't sell it then we can't get it either". I say "you don't have any aftermarket suppliers?" and they say "no" and hang up.

It's a freaking piece of rubber that came stock on the truck, I don't understand.

Geez man, sounds frustrating...since I've worked at dealerships most of my life I can see how that wouldn't be a high demand item though, and I understand how some parts, as ridiculous as it sounds, aren't available separately. This doesn't help, but I know that Lexus sells that weatherstrip separately as I replaced one a few months ago (the original was deformed).

Just remembered........ There's a place by my house here in Minneapolis that makes custom weatherstripping and rubber moulding for all makes of cars, new and old. Go to wwwdotmetrommpdotcom They could reproduce the moulding for you maybe for a reasonable price

awesome...I will shoot them an email. Just one question...how will they know how to reproduce the wstrip, unless I take mine off and send it to them for a few days/weeks/months (not really possible given east TN weather that changes drastically daily).

That's a good question, I'm sure they need a sample of some sort.
