Post What Will It Run??

Thinking about runnin' the truck this weekend and wondering what you guys think it should run. Its an 03 ecsb chevy 5.3, all i have done is k&n drop in and tb-bypass and i'll probably ditch the spare tire and put about an 1/8 tank of gas in it. It's on an 1/8th mile track also.

1/8 mile probably 10.3-10.5 just my guess but im not a chevy guy

the way you guys are geared your 60's arent that hot. thats the reason i opted for the mid-low 10.

Does your truck have stock wheels? If so, your truck should run a mid 10 in the 1/8 mile. Try to focus on getting the best traction...especially off the line. Other than that, just hit the gas and keep it straight!

i agree on the low 10s. for comparison, i have a 4wheel drive 1500HD that does a 10.5 1/8th. You should be doing better than that!

You can almost bank on mid 10's unless you hit the rev limiter or any other unforseeable mistake...

Well i took it out to the track tonight and made two passes. Not very good ones but oh well. First was a 10.6(had a bad reaction) and then a 10.4. I can't remember the first 60' but the second was like a 2.4 something. I guess you gotta start somewhere.

Nothing wrong with a 10.4. What was your MPH? Did you have good traction?
