Default What should I do?

I have a 2004 Tahoe 4x4 w/ the 4.8 and 22in wheels. The only thing it has is a K&N filter. I ran it in the eighth mile and it went a slooow 11.10 and that was with the stock 16in wheels. What can I do to improve the throttle response? It takes off faster at 3/4 throttle and feather it to wide open than to just stomp it to the floor. Thank you for any help.

It's called torque management and that's how it behaves. A tune will be the best thing you can do.

i dont know guys i dont think that a tune si going to be enough with a 4.8 4x4 tahoe. i mean sure a tune will be a noticeable difference but to equal out the weight, he really needs a radix for this.

sorry, but the cycle never ends

A low bridge would work on the weight .

A tune would be the best and some Nitrous. But a 6.0 and a radix wouldn't be shabby.

Which should I do for tuning? Should I go to a local shop and get it tuned ( $350 ). Or get a DiabloSport U7193.

no dont get a handheld. if you can get a dyno tune that would be great but if not just get a mail order from a company like Nelson Performance or Wheatley Performance Tuning... sponsors on the side of your screen, those are 2 of the tops that everyone talks about

in response to mods it all depends on how much your looking to spend. start with supporting mods such as cold air intake, longtubes... then after time if your still not satisfied id start steppin up to the big mods such as motor swap or supercharger

first things first though.. set a goal on what you wanna run... now subtract 2 seconds off of that and that will be what you aim for LOL. is this truck your daily driver?
