Default What should ask for my truck?

The Z71 will be ready to be sold here shortly and Im not sure what to ask for it. Its a regular LS, ecsb, Z71, it will be totally stock with a 90K mile 5.3, brand new 60e, freshened tcase(had to pull it apart to put the stock input gear back in), rear end was rebuilt 40K ago with an eaton which Ill leave in there. The body is a 7/10, no rust, just a few scratches here and there, interior is 10/10, no stains, the seats look brand new, just replaced the window motors, and has husky liners front and rear. Its pewter in color and will have a drop in bed liner. The truck itself has 180K on it but most of the drivetrain is alot newer. Im thinking of asking 9K for it. My next question is do I tell the people Im selling the truck to that I changed all that stuff out? I dont think I should divulge that since number 1 it may scare them off and number 2 they are getting a drivetrain with alot less miles then the truck has on it so its not like Im throwing 300K mile parts in it and saying the truck only has 180K on it. The only thing in the truck that hasnt been rebuilt is the front diff but I serviced it and the fluid was good so Im sure its fine. So what would be a fare price for it? I want it gone quick so I can start parking my new truck in the garage and stop paying insurance on a truck I dont drive.

In excellent condition it books for 9300, in fair its 8500, I would be happy with 8K out of it but if I ask that people will try and talk to me down might as well start high and go low. 8K would be my bottom dollar I think. So if you know of someone who wants a nice truck with a good drivetrain keep your ears open. If someone finds someone to buy this thing Ill give them 200 bucks for a finders fee.

Cody....send me some pics if you don't mind. My parents are starting to look for a truck for my brother (he'll be 16 in October), and he wants an EC Chevy fullsize. Not sure if they are ready to buy yet, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable with a truck that I knew the history of than just some random one off ebay or auto trader. I'll show them the pics and see what they think.

Chris I really dont have any pics of it right now other then when it had all the colormatched stuff on it. Its just a bone stock ecsb Z71 in pewter. Ill even throw in a whole set of brand new 31" tires for it. Ill be driving out to NM to drop off my dads Jeep to him in LATE may/early june and I could keep heading that way and drop it off

Well fine, be that way! I'll let them know what you've got and I'll get back to you

What I can do is take some pics of the couple of scratches and the one dent(ran the end of my engine hoist into the side of the bed ), the interior is all apart right now since Im int he process of removing the wideband, rewiring the stereo back to stock, and putting a stock cluster back in. If work doesnt ease up it may be closer to the end of June when Ill be headed that way. Im flexible on that.

That will work. If they do bite on it, there will be no rush since he won't be able to do much with it till October
