what no cat/ dumped muffler????

what no cat/ dumped muffler????
just recently cut my cats on my truck and it sounds like ****. i have flowmaster 40 series single in dual out on there right now. they are raspy and i hate it. im looking at something that is quieter and not raspy. i plan on dumping this right after the axle. i've been looking at a magnaflow, do you think they will be raspy? does anyone have any suggestions for me. please help.

i went through the same setup, i have dual magnaflows on it now with an x-pipe and it helped alot but is still alittle raspy. if your still running single exhaust a big single in/out magnaflow is what you are looking for.

i will most likely be running one muffler. (cheaper) i would rather spend my money on a cam but i just cant stand this exhaust anymore.
I think you would be happy with a single 3" magnaflow.

that is the only down side to no cats is the rasp. i had some dynomax muffs on my truck and it did not seam to have rasp. i started experiencing rasp when i put bullets then no mufflers. now i have a tahoe muffler = real quiet then electric cut outs.

if i can offer my advice, it would be to listen to BigKIDs exhaust. he has hamm headers which are midlength, to madrel bent pipes to an x then to two magnaflow muffs dumped. his **** is deeper than any exhaust system i have heard on any other nbs truck.

one thing you can try that i was going to is lut some bullets close to were the cats were. it might work but not sure. i called around and asked what i could do but did not have much luck.
