Default What kind of electric fans???

I have a 2003 5.3 silverado, Im going to turbo charge it and was going to put electric fans in while we were doing it..

What kinda fans will work best!!

Will it work better to get LS1 fans, or will we need something bigger..

I dont want to spend alot of money is the reason i say ls1 fans!!!

Ls1 fans with a Nelson harness will probally be the cheapest option. The 05 fans with the nelson harness is probally the best choice. The ls1 fans will work fine though.

I see your building a custom turbo setup. Road Race Enginering has some decent prices on u-bends and etc.

thanks for that info!!!!

The 05 fans wont work because I dont have the 34" radiator...

Will the LS1 fans be enough to keep the engine cool??

Yes the ls1 fans will provide sufficiant cooling. I live in Houston (pretty hot) and have never had a problem. Many others here live in hotter places and seem to be doing fine with them as well. If anything the fans improve the quality of my drive due to the ac cooling better in stop and go traffic etc.

with the whole turbo kit, won't the engine be creating more heat? The 05 fans with a bigger radiator will cool better. Although, in the houston heat I've never had a problem with my ls1 fans either.
