What happen to the GM logo on the doors?

Question What happen to the GM logo on the doors?

A buddy of mine recently perchest a new 2011 GMC Sierra and when he was over this weekend I noticed his truck dont have the GM logo on the door like my 09 Sierra and all other gm cars had for a while. Junt wundering why thay did this thanks.

1) Because the decal combinations change nearly every model year

2) Save money

3) Because they can....

Because we just de-badge them anyways.

And those that don't really care, just don't care. So it might as well not be there at all! Plus it saves them money.

BTW, that badge was a symbol for GM's "Mark of Excellence". It had a meaning, and they thought they could market it in a way to show superior quality, and they thought it would help boost their sales in a declining market. It did not work. I believe that is why the plug was pulled...

I thought it was the stamp the government put on the vehicles while they had all the loans out... "Goverment Motors" Now that the loans dissappeared so did the badges.

lol good stuff. Ill have to admit if I got a new truck with out the GM badge's I would order some and put them on the doors just a GM nut I guess lol.
