Default WHAT THE F**K IS GOING ON?? denali story

all i have to say is WOW. i told u guys about how i was gonna race my dads denali agianst my freinds maxima. the maxima runs about low 16s on the gtech so we thought it would be close. my freinds rode in the denali and said hed beat me. i admit it feels real smooth but still torqey.

so tonite i go decide to gtech it.... half tank, 40degrees out, set it up, make the first run...............14.9! i take a look and cant beleive what im seeing, im just shocked (keep in mind the best on my truck is 15.0) so im thinking something must be wrong, theres no way. it doesnt even feel as fast as my truck. so i unplug it... run two more times 14.9, 14.8!! WHAT THE F**K. i dont know what the deal is, i call my buddies up right away and they dont believe. i say fu*k the maxima, bring out the integra gsr(this car beats the maxima, and close to my truck). I SMOKE THE **** OUTA HIM.

bone stock denali, paper filter. i dont know if ive been fooled by the great suspension and thats why it doesnt feel fast or what. i dont know whats going on and im a little dumbfounded. is this normal? i mean do i really have to race it against my truck

sounds like some good times outa the denali. hey if it wins it wins. i've seen stock esky's run high 16's and low 17's but that was in 90 plus heat with high humidity. so go find a hemi and go race that. that would be fun

I know for sure there are 2WD 5.3 Escalades, but I don't think there are any 5.3 Denalis

Get a grip dont act so shocked. He has a yukon denail AWD 6.0 NOT THE XL. His is bone stock,we ran the about 1/2 dozen times.Mine was with the 5.3 and longtube headers catbck custom PCM.i pull in the upper RPM,mine was shifting at 5800.Neither of the trucks is what i would call fast. My guess is high 15,s for either.I suggest you take it to the track. My guess is you will run closer to mid 15s than high 14s at the track.Just a guess and no offence.

what year was his denali? the only reason i question it is because my denali and my truck are about the same exact speed, my truck maybe being a little faster... and i know my truck would of walked ur z71 when it was 5.3
