What does your truck weigh?
#1
Well, after my disappointing last trip to the drag strip, I am starting to look a little closer at my set up. I decided to see how much the truck weighed, so I took it to a truck scale. With a full tank of gas, 22's and me in the truck it weighed 4740 LBS. I weigh about 240-250 LBS depending on my lunch, lol. So the truck weighs approx. 4500 LBS. I am waiting on some answers from my tuner on the programming, but may be getting my stall redone. It's very tight and a 3000 right now. what do you think about a 3600 stall? I don't tow anything, but occasionally haul a riding mower and I'm look at getting a 4 wheeler. Would a 3600 be ok daily driven and hauling the above mentioned items?

you will be good to haul a bit with that converter... I pulled a heavy *** enclosed trailer about 1500 miles behind my 3600 and had no problems... just keep it locked up and take it easy

You shouldnt be to bad off, I've towed both my 23' boat and my uncle's large (not sure on size) pontoon through some nasty hills in the Ozark Mountains. Mine's only a 3200 though. Like Silver-mod-o said, take it easy

My trucks weighs 4350 without me in it. It had 1/2 tank of gas and nothing in the bed. Personally, I would not run a 3600 converter in a daily driven vehicle. The gas mileage will suffer and your transmission will run hot in stop/go traffic. A 3600 converter would be great in a fun/weekend/dragstrip car though. That's just my opinion...

I DD my 3600 with zero issues, and have for a year now... make sure your cooler is good to go and everything will be great... and honestly, my mileage hasnt dropped but 1 or 2 mpg in town.... identical when its locked up on the hwy.

I weigh 4515 with no spare or tailgate on ET STREETS and have a pi vig 3200 which is every bit of a 4k converter. It's a DD, but managable. Shift extensions are 4900-5000rpm. Takes around 2500-3k rpm to keep up with traffic under lockup mph.

I think I saw some at wal-mart
