Default what to do

Here's my deal... should I replace the motor and trans and hope that nothing major goes wrong and assume only a little debt, or, sell the POS, cut my losses, and go more in debt with a new POS?

Keep in mind, I can't afford any of them. I am really looking for the "lesser of the evils" as they say, that has the best long term results.

Thanks for all input.

I feel like my POS is falling apart at the seams. 120K on it, daily driver, and I need to get to work (and have some fun). In your opinion, if you couldn't afford any of them, but you had to choose one, which would it be?

heres the deal. I am getting a few bucks back when I close on my house. I figure if I can a solid running truck out of that, then that would be a good move, right?

im in about the same boat as you, daily driver with about 110k on the truck, it still runs pretty good, shifts seem a little looser then they did when it was a young truck but I think it's ok, I'm just scared to go WOT nowadays..

I think I'm going to baby it along and wait to see what the '08 Silverado's are gonna be like. If they are the same I'll shoot for a '07 left over, if they have a 6.2 liter with the 6sp trans I'll be looking to get into one of them.
