Default Went to the track...

With my new mods. 180 stat, Predator , and Volant intake . Im figuring ill break into the 15's now since my best run last year was a 16.06.. Well i took off the TB spacer and factory air intake and added a muffler into the works.. The temp was about 81degrees. Well i was wrong. 1st run 16.5 and my second was a 16.9?????? WHAT??? The only thing I can figure is that since I added my 285's it changed it that much.My MPH was actually about the same as my previous runs. Im prob gonna call Summit back and see if I can return the headers. Maybe a Dyno tune from my local guy will help some.

Was your MPH ABOUT the same or was it the same. If you can get the exact times from before and after maybe we can give you some advice on what might have been wrong besides potential weather conditions.

Losing that much ET but keeping the same MPH doesn't make any sense unless you spun really bad off the line on the later runs.

4/2/03.......................................... 8/19/04
16.636@82.82......... 16.572@83.66 put tranny in 3rd
16.412@83.64 ......... 16.907@81.31 cut tow/haul on
16.065@84.00
Ok since lookin at them i guess the ET's and speeds are about the same.. Overdrive kicks in right about the 1/4 mile. Havent messed with the tranny part of the programmer yet.
As far as the mods. Headers were around $300 got the intake for $175, stat for 35ish i think, Programmer for $325 new. Didnt really spend any money, sold a bunch of stuff on Ebay so I used my paypal.. Im just really bumbed that it didnt do better.

Oh yeah, I only had 1/4 tank of gas. 93 octane and Ive driven 230 miles sine I put in the performance tune from the programmer so I would think the PCM had enough time to learn the new program.

You have quite a variance in MPH there. Is that programer supposed to take out ALL of TQ mangement? Could there be too much timing causing you to ping? It looks like timing is being pulled by the PCM for some reason which is making your times fluctuate so much.

Another thing, why in the heck is the truck going into overdrive ANYWHERE in the 1/4mile? LOL

Unless you are running tiny tires I would assume you should be halfway through 3rd gear at the very worst. N/A I would cross the traps at the very top of 2nd gear at about 6200rpm.

No pinging. I think the TQ management has to be manually taken out , I havent messed with the tranny part. Im pretty sure that its going in to OD. All the shifts are factory. 3.73 gears 285/75/16 Dunlop mud rovers 32 psi. It still wont spin the tires from a dead stop on the highway.
