It is a pain in the *** guys, but we at GM are bound to certain Policies and Procedures and federal Laws that prhibit us from doing what we will to modify milage in any way other than accepted by General Motors.

Mileage programmed @ a specific GM Authorized Facility; dealer programs options w/ Tech 2. Side note, SHIAT! Those Tech2's are pricey. Know anyone from GM that has a garage sale? I don't attend garage sales normally, but I'd throw a guy some $ & a Snickers if I ever saw 1 on a table.

If that doesn't work for you there are speedometer shops that can reprogram your cluster to the correct mileage of your vehicle. They will want some type of certified proof of mileage, like your old cluster plus the new cluster to add the miles, etc. I had it done when I bought my Denali cluster. I think it was like $80 and took like a week total. If you want I can try and find the info of who I used. Don't want to lose your warranty for sure and definitely don't want a odometer fraud issue.

I know brotha'....it's all cool. I you weren't calling me out...lol..it all good. I do agree that it is a pain in the ol' **** dealing with the Milage issue. At most GM shops (even here at mine) service manager get all freaked out over anything to do with milage...lol.

Wode Open is right too....there are Speedo Shops that will program it for the original Poster like USpeedo and others. But they will require a certified milage proof also.

I hope you do get your situation resolved. If i can help just let me know.

i did it through some company in arizona, no dealer in my area could do it, told them my current milege, then estimated how much more miles would be put on till i got it back in and when i got to that point just swapped it out. I was off by one mile.

I just took mine to my local GM dealer. I told him I bought a cluster off ebay and I wanted to program it with the correct mileage. He charged me $90.00 and certified it.

TW, USSpeedo told me if I bought a SS cluster from Joe Blow they wouldn't program mileage for me. Bet they would if I bought it from them.
