I weighed when i left the scrap yard the other day. My turd of a truck, 2000 ecsb 2wd with 6.0/80e, 2 batteries, bout 7 rifles, ton of ammo
, tool box full of tools and junk, and 120# alum diamond plate. She weighed 5610#.
On my 12.5 pass it weighed 5150. When i got home i cleaned it out and went back to the scales, 4700#. Thats a big difference.
Good ole work truck ....

Right, the iron block/alum headed V8's weigh close to the same as the all iron V6. But the all aluminum engines have a pretty good bit of weight advantage. 80-100lbs if I recall. The 4.3 fully dressed with no fluids should be right around 425lbs. All 195hp of it
a well over 100ci addition and shedding a few lbs off the nose should be good for something right?? Lol
