Smile Well no longer onequick5.3

Well after the climate I live in I decided to buy a 4wd after a dealership shot me a hell of a deal on a truck and know today im trading in. Its a 2007 "classic" silver ec 4x4 LS. Its a very nice truck lacks in the power dept but that will change eventually. 26,000 was the red tag price and I got another 3500 in rebates and 700 off for working at UPS for a supplier price. So with my trade in (I owe 3600 on my truck) it will be around $23,000 financed out the door.

Now the confusing part does it have a 4L65E?

I really want the STS kit for this truck and not mess with the little bolt ons and headaches I had with the headers (driver side buring of plug wires). I also like the idea of driving it with 5psi (not hard on motor or trans) and then flipping a switch to 11psi if someone wants to race. But how hard would it be on motor and transmission. Truck stage pricing has some really good deals on kits but they are very expensive.

I like the radix since its a complete kit but you have to tear the top part of a motor apart to install it.

Prochargers make tons of power but with no bypass I dont want to lose mileage.

My plan was making 425 rwhp and thats it. I know the procharger can do it and the STS would be easy. But heres the kicker would a supercharger void my warrenty? I am paying for the 5/100,000 warrenty. Give me some input guys any is appreciated.

I was reading on the STS site and they said its illegal (Spelling) to have a dealership void a warrenty if you install a super/turbocharger its there responibility to prove to the owner of the truck that the turbo was responsible for whatever is wrong with the truck. Then they can void a warrenty.

Do a google search for Magnuson Moss act, it explains it in detail.

If you ever have any drivetrain problems I wouldn't expect that GM would honor the warranty. Everything else they shouldn't give you problems with.

Any dealer can deny your warranty IF they wanna. Seen it many times. A radix keeps your warranty but you won't be as fast as an STS truck

Congrats... you'll love the Radix... worth every penny IMO ... and I would discuss with your Magnuson retailer regarding their optional drivetrain warranty... this assuming you can keep your hands off the box tune and not fiddle with the rest of the drivetrain Heh... I don't think that lasted more than a couple weeks for me
