Well it isn't good when you can spin the crank pulley bolt

i doubt you screwed anything up!

I just went to a local Fastenal store and brought in my original crank pulley bolt. Told them I wanted a new bolt that was one an inch and a half longer. Bought a special hardened washer as well. Put some oil around the crank snout and got the pulley started with the new bolt. put the factory bolt back in (new one) and drove it home with the impact gun at 200 ft lbs.

I bought threaded rod from Fastenal, a thrust bearing from Kaman Bearing, couple nuts and washers, welded one nut to the end of the rod.... your're in business, the correct way to install.
O yeah almost forgot, an old wrist pin for a spacer.

thats exactly what mine looks like. go buy it, and you should be able to make at least 1 extra and sell it.
