Default Well had a bad situation last night but gonna end up good...

Well after being out at work for 8+ days I finally got back home and was able to finnaly mess with my truck that's been sitting at my buddies shop. I had the boost turned up to 12lbs and got a fresh tune for it. Truck felt really good and I HAD the ability to spin all 4 out the hole! Well I messed up pretty bad lol. I forgot to adjust my meth kit to spray at higher boost. What happened was I stalled up in 4 hi just to show my buddy the launch my truck had held it there for a bit at 8-9lbs launched out and got out of it real quick pulled in to my buddies shop and turned the truck off. Well apparently I soaked the intake with meth and didn't give it a chance to burn all the way. I been having alot of prob with the meth puddling in the intake. So anyways imagine the intake full of water/meth and I smart guy not knowing what I did go and try to start it when I was just about to leave. Yup I hydro locked the motor and bent a rod or something cuz my motor started knocking bad. Well anyways yeah I was kinda mad but lucky me i have a nice little 6.2 long block coming my way in about a week. So yeah was kinda upset this happened but gonna turn out great cuz now I'm gonna have a 6.2 turbo truck that should run a lot stronger then my 5.3. And trust me the 5.3 felt good so I can't wait to see what the 6.2 is gonna do. Hopfully I don't blow this one up lmao. I'll keep you guys posted on the swap and see what numbers I can put down. Only thing is I really wanted to see what the 5.3 could have put down at the track. Oh well

Yeah luckily I happend to buy the 6.2 a couple days ago. Wasn't planning on putting it in so soon tho lol. Now I guess I have to order a cam and some other things for the 6.2 while I have it out, damn the bad luck! lmao

It's that red line right before the tb. I have been having prob with the water/meth puddling up because I think I have too big of a nozzle. It's fixed now but a little too late. Being that the nozzle is too big in conjunction with long runners I guess it was only a matter of time this was gonna happen. I already put in the smaller nozzle and highered up the setting at which the meth sprays so shouldn't have this prob again. Now it should spray only a set amount enough for the motor to burn effectively instead of just soaking up at the bottom of the intake.

Yeah think I might as well order my circle d 3000 already. Still up in the air about what cam to go with. I was thinking about calling up pat g and having him custom spec me a eps boost cam. What do you guys think?

What are you doing with your intake? Are you running the 5.3 heads on the 6.2? Or are you running the l92 heads? Cuz I don't think the fast will work on the l92 heads....

nah the fast wont work on the l92s. Sucks cuz I just bought the intake so I guess its going back in the box and gonna sit in my garage for a bit. Im gonna use the whole 6.2 long block with the l92s and prob gonna order the holly hi ram intake like double047 is using in his build.

I dont know if this matters much but ive always been told to put the nozzles on the bottom for proper spray.... You were apparently spraying way to much if it was puddling up in the intake because it should atomize and mist in the intake! Sorry for the loss but the 6.2 will be a beast.
