Now is a good time to debadge your truck because the glue is really soft. The door moldings on my truck were very easy to take off because I did it about a month after I bought the truck new. I pulled on the door molding and sprayed WD-40 on the glue. It softened the glue and made it easy to pull off. Just go slowly and continue to spray WD-40 as you go down the door. As for the tailgate...I have the "base" model Silverado, which means my tailgate had the "Silverado" letters across the tailgate. The letters came off just by pulling...nothing else. Make sure you wax the tailgate after removing the letters.

Wink

You need to run it hard now!!!! It will run hard forever. You can't take grandmas car that's been driven lightly for several years, and decide to run it hard without having issues.!!! I'm J/k. Not too sure if that holds truth.
I ran mine hard from the first test drive I took it on!

You know those trucks can sit on the lot long before they get purchased by a consumer right?

as for debadging, I've heard the 3M stripe off wheel, or strip off is the easiest way to do it. I've not personally used this method though. I can tell you that WD-40, wipe away, goo-gone and 3M adheisive remover do not work that well - I know, I've tried them all. I was suprised when the 3M adheisive remover didn't do the trick, cuz, hell they make the adheisive that stuck that **** to the truck in the first place

well its a 4.8 V8, power windows, power locks, got it for 20 grand, think i got a pretty good deal, used my 01 ext silverado as a trade in, got 9200, suprised the **** outta me considering the odometer didnt work, dash was all messed up, the driver side head was messed up, SEs light was on, ABS light was on, so im glad they payed it off and plus gave me 1200 for a down payment, so im really happy with this truck, just wondering, what are some mods i can do that wont void the warranty? i know intake and muffler wont void it but what else? thanks fellas
Best think you can do for that nice new truck and for your credit rating is to stay away from this web site and all others like it. Just drive it and take care of it.

Your lts would have fit on the truck. Nothing is different except the front clip mechanically wise between the 99 trucks and the 06 trucks.
