Sleeper! Your one of those freehanders

 

Try using the smallest wire you can get, .025-.030, something in a 70s hard wire. Also try using 75% Argon-25%Helium for shielding gas. Make youe fits tight, and heep your material as clean as you can. Get some kind of sandpaper wheel/disc for grinding. A hard wheel will remove too much material.
