that engine mixes the Fuel as it's flowing through the TB. adding the space gives the fuel more time to spread out. Thus helping in some applications.
These trucks shoot fuel directly over the pistons, meaning adding a TB only lets the air take longer to get in the engine and adds a whistle.

I agree a tb spacer is wasted money, but it sounds like the guy is trying to squeeze out some power with little to no money. Tunes and gears (+install) cost a tad bit more than a spacer. Cut him some slack, the dude's only been here for about the time it takes to have a cup of coffee, inform him that they don't work and hope that he listens.

On that note, OP, send me $90, I'll send you a box FULL of worthless ****.

As mentioned, the throttle body spacers have shown gains on TBI engines, much the way the old carburetor spacers work. On a multi-port injected engine though, a tb spacer isn't good for anything unless you machine it for nitrous nozzles

Ought depends what K&N you have the TB spacer might not work. Wont be able to close the hood unless you have a after market one thats cut. Top of the tube will hit the stock hood. I know mine rubs a good bit.
