Still messing with this damn thing. Tried a few more things to get it fixed. I changed out the HVAC controls in the cab, flushed out the compressor, evaporator, condenser, all lines and replaced the orifice tube. Put the recommended oil amount in all the various parts it called for and recharged the system.

It’s still doing the same thing. It blows ice cold air to the point that it freezes up the core because it still won’t cycle. I pull the low pressure switch off and it just keeps running but when I turn it off on the controls in the cab, the ac will shut off as it should.

I’m starting to think my PCM isn’t properly removing the ground for the relay in response to the cycling switch. Again, I haven’t changed anything in the tune from when it last worked correctly and cycled just fine.

Just wanna drive this thing but geez. Happy 4th everybody!

In you first post you stated it would only get to 60 degrees now your stating its freezing the cooling system. That would not be the same thing.

what year is the truck?

You’re correct. I should’ve explained that better. At that point I was struggling with getting my refrigerant levels correct. I’ve got them in 30/150-200 range now. Truck is a 2001 RCSB
