Default weight reduction tips

going to the track for the first time and want to run good. so what diet shuold i put her on. 1. the spare
2. tailgate
3. oldlady
4.fuel 1/4 tank

got pretty much everything on your list, maybe jack and other tools. I replaced the bumper with a rollpan, I didn't realize how heavy the bumper was.

don't forget about the spare tire. That thing is heavy. And if you have a cone filter, remove the pass side headlight for a ram air effect.

1/4 tank??? I got to the track as the gauge started buzzing... is that better or worse???

Some people say they have problems(running lean due to lack of fuel pickup) when they run on that empty of a tank but I personally have never had that problem. Drop the hitch also if you have one.

I have heard of people with extended cabs pulling the rear seat. Also, any stereo equipment, if equiped.

welll , run it in street trim , then stripped , so u kno what u actually rtun on the street where it matters , then strip it to see what the truck can actually do

I run full street trim. Tail gate, hard bed cover, 20's in front, full radio and all. I think that you have to start thinking about weight once you are making near to max power and its the only way you can get some more "free" et out of your ride. Besides its more impressive when you go 11.80 right of the street

I do the same thing. When I start pulling weight of the back traction gets worse.
