Default Weight of the new 07s?

Just curious, you Chevy guys have always had a serious weight advantage over Fords and Dodges. Ae the new 07's just as light or did they gain some weight like the new F150's did?

maybe more aluminum less heavy steal. maybe more efficient building process which inturn yeilds less wieght. doesn't have to be heavy to be solid.

They have aluminum LCAs but a closed frame too, so I imagine they are going to weigh about the same as the GMT-800s.

Not bad, still about 300lb's lighter then my ram came shipped at 4700lbs, course 350lbs of that are the 20" rims/tires. The 17's would make it quite close.

Now only if Dodge could get mpg numbers close to those. 14/18mpg was the best I could ever do stock on a good day.

Son's '07 ECSB with 4.7L weighs in at 5000. Looks heavier than that. Has a much more solid feel to it than earlier models.
