Default water/dripping in cab on passenger side???

good morning.

With the summer heat just starting to get in full steam i am using the AC in my truck more and more. I bought the truck last september so this is the first it has been really hot.

About a week ago i got back into my truck on a hot day after using the AC and there was a puddle of water on my floor mat on the passenger side.

is this normal for the GM trucks? it is an '06 RCSB silverado

I don't have an '06 RCSB, but in the 6+ yrs I've had my truck there never was an issue with the A/c. And you said you got your truck back on a hot day? Got it back from where?

The ac drain may be clogged, you could try some compressed air in the drain hose...

I should have been more clear, I got back into my truck after driving it earlier in the day with the AC going and noticed there was water on the floor board. it wasn't at a shop or anything, just in my driveway.

yeah, that little drain in the engine bay is clogged most likely. a straightened out clothes hanger wiggled up in there usually does the trick. Its the little elbow looking like fitting on the bottom end of the silver canister on the passenger side of the firewall if I remember correctly...

ahh
I rarely run my A/C but i noticed a damp floor board last time I did. Knew it was the a/c unit but didn't know where the drain is.

well guys,

did as suggested and blew compressed air through the drain line. put a zip tie around the hose to "seal" my blow gun to it and let 'r rip...haven't had any condensation inside the cab in the last week (and it's been hot/humid) so i think that was the problem.

thanks again
