I noticed today that water was dripping from the AC drain tube. I never turned on the AC. I did use the heat. I also notice that when I turn the heat on the engine bogs a tad as if I kicked on the AC compressor and I even hear the "Click" like the compressor kicked on. Is this normal? The AC light was not on and it was blowing nice and hot. Does the heated air run through the dryer?

My light still works. I checked. Sometimes it gives me 3 or 4 flashes and then goes out again. But usually it work perfect, light on, cold air. It just seems as if the compressor is kicking on even when I have the heat on. I might pull the belt and see what happens.

1SlowHoe, does your ride have Auto temp control? If so, the AC compressor is probably coming on, even if you have the heat on and defroster off, which would be normal operation for that system...pretty sure it uses a thermistor in the cabin to sense the temp and control it accordingly.

). I like to keep it on fresh as much as possible to keep fresh air flowing across the evaporator...helps to keep mold and microbes from building up and creating that musty odor that alot of folks experience from their HVAC system)
