Default Want an SS Guage Cluster

Where's the best place to find an SS cluster for my 04 Silverado? And what are the going prices? I found one on ebay for $250, is that good?

Thanks in advance.

The best prices I've seen are from speed-o-tach, http://www.sotelectronics.com. They run about $220-$250 I think. The reason that's a deal is because they preprogram the mileage before they ship it to you.

I've never actually done business with them (I don't have a cluster yet).

I checked out E-bay and found an SS cluster for $248 + $15 for shipping. Yep, Jennings Chevrolet was the place.

Plug and play - I sure hope so, I'm at the point in my life where I don't need any more challenges. I like it nice and easy.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I sound like a wimp. Yeah, a wimp with lots of spare time not for wrenching.

Just purchased an escalade Platinum edition cluster from Chris over at Speed-o-Tach for $215 programmed + shipping. Great guy to deal with and by far the cheapest place for GM Delphi clusters. Denali clusters are the same price for a short time.

Had to pull my cluster and (everything else) to mount a GPS antenna under the dash. It's trivial, just pop the dah bezel, unbolt & disconnect cluster.

Got my cluster from Jennings in Texas last Thursday. I installed it on Sunday morning. You guys were right, it is a piece of cake to install. When I turned on the key, and thumbed through the menus, I only had Trip A and Trip B. No instant mileage, no gallons used, no average MPG, no average MPH. I thought WTF??? I specifically told them if the cluster didn't have all these features, I didn't want it. They assured me that these would all work with my truck.

I called them up at Jennings and talked to Jack in their parts dept. This guy is so cool and customer service oriented. He said that the guage clusters they are getting now are being programmed for 05's and up, they don't have the same menus the 03's and 04's have. He is going to have a new cluster programmed to my VIN, sent to me with a paid-for return address label so I can send the first cluster back.

It is an inconvenience, but at least my truck is not down, and they are not making me pay for shipping back and forth, they are standing behind what they are selling. Try that with a private E-bay seller.

I should get my new cluster in a couple of days, programmed correctly this time.

Kinda like meatloaf...always better the next day. (???)
