Looking for an 07 or 08 Silverado/Sierra with the auto 6 speed(6L80E) with a 6.0 L engine. I visited the GM website, but it appears you can only get the 6 spd. trans. in the 2500 HD truck. The HD is a much heavier vehicle(the chassis is humongus) than the regular 1500 and more truck than I need. Do you have to buy a HD truck to get the 6 spd. auto? If you opt for the HD to get the 6L80E you can't get the 6.0 Max.(367hp) as it appears the Vortec 6.0L(353hp) is the only engine they mate to the 6 spd. trans.
Can I buy the 6L80E with the Vortec Max 6.0L V8 in a non-HD truck? I haven't been able to create this truck. Does anyone have a link to the information I need to create this truck?

Well supposedly the 6 speed will be out later part of 08 model year in the 1500's, but rumors say the 6.2 will be replacing the 6.0 as well. There might be a crossover point where the 6 speed is avail on the max with the 6.0, who knows what GM will actually do.
