Default VHO vs plain 5.3?

guys, whats that major differences on the VHO's compared to the plain 5.3's? A buddie got one and I know they are rated at like 310hp which is only 20hp more then the 5.3's I think. Are they much quicker than the 5.3's stock vs stock?

just curious as to what makes them so special

VHO is a 345HP 6.0 Lq9 truck. L33=HO 5.3 310 HP it is in a xcab 4x4 only with different heads and cam, pistons and an aluminum block. There is a guy on here and his dynoed 309HP with a tune and catback and very little else.Badass in my opinion for a 5.3

Guys,did i forget any differeces?

I think the VHO is also 2wd but uses the torsen bar setup front suspension (guess to support the weight from the 6.0) Also, has some nice looking 20s, I think they get the 9.5" rear end too. Not sure if they use hydro boost brakes or standard vac brakes.

The VHO is a 2x4,no more weight from a 6.0 than an Iron 5.3,9.5 came in 06 and i believe the 8.6 was in the 05s

would it be quicker or not than a rcsb 5.3 stock for stock and modified for modified
because it is all about speed but i like the way a rcsb handles and looks but like the interior space of a ecsb

In most cases the stock vho will beat a stock 5.3 rcsb.
