Default vette servo, not typical questions

1)how does it work?
2)will it firm shifts all the time or only at WOT?
3)will it effect my warranty?
4)how much should i be looking at to have someone install it? (i'm not gunna tear up my transmission attempting to do it myself)

it cost me $25 to put in. I has a smaller area to hold fluid resulting in higher fluid pressure. It will shift without WOT. Mine shift hard now between 1st and 2nd. Tm is a bitch now with it. I suggest if you dont have a programmer dont get it. I hate mine at WOT because i dont have a tuner. it is different with different year truck. I took a ride in hydes and his worked great. mine on the other hand makes me want to kick the dog when i get home

yeah back to topic i plan on getting ls1edit soon so thats not a problem. but will it be ok for the few days (maybe weeks) before i do get the programming?

what about warranty? is it gunna void it? i'd like to not kill my warrany with 2/3 of it left.

hyde, what kind of programmming you got? ls1edit? or is it in there w/out programming and feeling fine?

dutch, the 99s are supposed to have the least amount of TQM so i'm assuming you'd see the least amount of problems.

I have one and I put Hypertech shifting too, it shifts real hard. I doubt GM would pull the servo out if you took the truck for warranty, and if they did they probably wouldn't know the difference. Do it!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
