I was thinking more like a 427 or something.

OR

I bet a RADIX would be pretty nasty on one too.

I tend to think like Neil6.0 and TxSilverado though after DECADES of waiting one of GM's concept V8 S series to be put into production.

My thoughts exactly! I've owned several S-10 trucks (regular cabs) and blazers and currently have a low mileage Syclone. Although a V8 option in the Colorado/Canyon is a huge step forward, my disappointment with GM continues.

Please GM, you're almost there. Make this option availabe in all trim, drive, and cab configurations and you will get my business.

I bet a supercharged V-8 Colorado would truely be hard to beat for any competing trucks because they weigh so damn little!! And to think I bought one when they first came out but abandoned it cuz the aftermarket wasn't there for it. Wish I still had it I'd drop an LSX in there!!! C'mon big general do something right for once!!!

i would SO pull my LS1 and put the 4.8 back in and trade it in for a build one of these bad boys wit a LS1

current performance actually just released their LSx engine mounts for the colorado. and they can make the wiring harnesses.
