VATS will do the following when it's activated it will allow the fuel pump on and the motor will crank and as soon as it fires off it shuts down.

On Matt's 2000 it fires right off and dies, on an old neighbors Camaro (4th gen) it would fire off and die 3 seconds later.

From what i understand of Vats is that it will start and then die. I have seen it first hand. I willing to bet that you need a crank relearn done.

Well its actually a 5.7L LS1 with 5.3L heads and all the 5.3L accessories and wiring. When I turn the key it cranks and you can smell fuel thru the exhaust but it wont fire the cylinders.

Could it be that the BCM from the V8 have a different value for the Passkey 2 than the one on my V6 BCM??? Cause i hooked up the wiring and BCM to my original steering column.

Doesnt that require the truck to actually idle???

Make sure doors are all shut and accessories are all off. May want to hook up a trickle charger too, as it may take some time to do.

6.Once this entire procedure has been completed (three times) your vehicle will start on the fourth attempt.

I did exaclty as it says.

The light does go away on the 3rd try and I turned the key off 20secs then on on the 4th and the light wont come back on anymore but still wont start.

I changed out the Fuel pump relay, ignition relay, injector relay and still nothing.

You sure you got the injectors all plugged in the right order? Check your spark again like I said above, ground the plug electrode to a clean metal surface.

From what you are describing it sounds like the security relearn worked, but you're having a different issue. We know your fuel is good, we need to double-check spark.
