I tried to swap to an 02 pcm. when the 02 pcm is in there is a random no start issue. If i put the 00 pcm back in it is fine. I have my own tune in both. What could be the problem. have done a crank relearn and a security learn.

 

huh.... we never had that issue with Matt's truck, which is also a '00 with a '02 PCM. maybe try to disable VATS in the tune (do you have your own tuning software?) on the '02PCM, maybe something isn't jiving for it????

 

Ya I've never heard of this problem. You don't happen to have a space 02 VCM you could try do you?

 

Are you sure you did the security relearn exact step by step?If you mess up during it process then it will not start.
Double check that to make sure.
Other than that there should be no problems.
Also,if you open your tuner,make sure that the 02 PCM did not come out of a truck with a std.tranny out of a truck with a 4.8.Some of the idle air flow tables are zeroed out and will cause it not to idle.
Just something else to check,I have seen that happen.
