Ok guys, here is the deal. I have a local friend who's Machinist has a Whipple for sale that he recieved as payment for some machine work he did for someone. The kit is the newer style kit wiht the single serpintine belt and supposedly only has 6K miles on it. The guy is asking $1600 for it but I asked if he would take 1200 so I may get it for 1400. Is this a good price? I looked on ebay yesterday to see what they were going for but only saw one with 4 days left on the acution.
I think I may get it even at 1600. I already have a cam that would be blower friendly, 42# injectors and edit. Being in the deep south I will aslo probablly try to do an intercooler come summer time. Only thing that bothers me is I currently have .040 milled heads so I have just a touch over 10:1 compression. I may just keep my eye open for another set of 5.3 heads and clean them up like I did my current heads. Anyway, enough rambling...
Give me some opinions on if I should take advantage of this deal or not.

OK, new info... The guy will take 1500 for it but that is as low as he will go. I may go look at it sometime this weekend. If I like what I see, I will probablly go ahead and get it.
