Default UPD Sucks

Well I had to take off the intake tube to clean the TB on my wife's truck since the gas pedal was already beginning to stick and in the process the intake tube of the UPD cracked even more. Both of my black UPDs are cracked now. I really like the design of the this intake but the workmanship really does suck as I have yet to come accross UPD that does not crack at the intake tube. The least they can is replace the intake tube for all their faithfull customers but I serously doubt this will ever happen since according to some fellow member, they have not answered their phone in the past three weeks.

Tiburon, you may want to look into what I did with the UPD lid I purchased a few months back. Check out my sig below and click on UPD intake. It wasnt expensive at all and works well. If you have any questions let me know.

Yeah...when I put mine on I knew I had to be extremely careful after reading about them cracking so easy. You can tell by picking it up that it'll crack if you look at it cross eyed.....but I really like the design.

Off topic: Cakes, that 69 Firebird is Awesome! My first car (of my own) was a Green 69 Firebird with a green interior...it was exactly like that minus the white stripes. At first I thought that was it!...but mine was a 400 (Ram Air IV) with a 4 speed muncie, and look stock under the hood. I'm really in the mood to try to find another one after seeing yours! It's not for sale is it!...lol.

Looks like it could pull cooler air than the K&N but it has a hard left turn into the tb that the FIPK doesn't have.

BADMOFO, I sold the car a few years back. Thanks for the compliments. I hope to have another one someday.
