Question Underhood Light

Does anyone with a 2005 (or any NBS) Silverado have an underhood light? Mine does not, and I wondered if they were or were not installed on that year model or if mine is simply missing. It appears to have never had one.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but my truck is an ECSB LS with a 5.3.

I think it was on the 03+ models that they stopped that along with the lights on the inside of the doors too.

GM cheapened up and quit putting underhood lights on the trucks.

My 04 didnt have.

My 47,000$ 07 Dmax doesnt either. Or footwell lighting for that matter, or cloth/fabric trim on the door panels. or........

Where did you get the 24-led strip? That looks nice.

superbrightleds i think. I believe it was around $20 and is waterproof. Its worked flawlessly for the last 2 years with no issues, even with a massive amount of underhood heat.

I ordered one for an 02 model and installed in mine. The cutouts in the hood are still there in my 03.
