Default Two battery setup

I installed a pulley system on my 1999 2door 2wheel drive yukon. The problem now is that i cant get up to 14 volts on my gauge. The truck came with an extra battery tray. How do i go about connecting the other battery to my existing system?

Well, that wont give you 12volts, that will only increase your CCA, if you want to get back up to 14v you are going to have to bump up the idle so the alternator charges more at idle, as of right now its simply spinning to slow

Yep see if you can find a smaller pulley for the alternator.

No, because your alternator is putting out the correct voltage much less 14 volts. Do what Thunder said and find a smaller pulley, I thought most UD pulleys come with a smaller alternator pulley. Also put a voltmeter to back of the alternator and check your voltage there, you might have bump the connector on the side (feeds your voltage gauge) or something.
