truck overheated WTF!

sounds like ur 160 T-stat failed if the temp goes to 180.

no i had the truck tuned when i had exhaust and CAI. now i have Pacesetter, E-fan, 160* T-stat

If it wasn't working and now is...it is probably a wiring issue, or a intermittenly sticking thermostat, or a combination of a couple things.

first, check and see if you have a good power and ground on the temp. circuit of your fans, if so then check the temp on the upper and lower hose once it warms up there should be about a 20-30 degree difference, if there is a really big difference or one hose is hot and the other cold either you radiator is clogged up, or your thermostat is stuck closed.

1) Are you saying that you did not have the PCM tuned to come on at a lower temp?
2) did you have the PCM tuned for the AUX fans at all?

truck wasnt tuned for the fans and you expected them to work automatically? what kind of harness were you using to control them?

If you have the nelson harness, make sure the pin is plugged into the pcm good, mine wasn't and my fans weren't operating correctly.
