Truck just died??
#1
Alright, the other night on my way home from work, I was playing around a little and was manually shifting my auto and slammed the rev limmiter and my truck just died and would not start, so I disconnected the battery for a few mins and reconnected it and it started right up. So the next day I get in it and it starts right up but about 5 miles from work, which is about 30 miles from home, I was just waiting in traffic and it just died. So I tried the battery trick but it didnt work so I had to leave it but I got my dad to go check it out about an hour later and it started right up and he drove it home with no problems. Today was the first day I have had a chance to look into it some more and me and my buddy went ride around in it with the scantool plugged in and couldnt find anything abnormal, not even a DTC. Anyone got any ideas??? Any help or suggestions appreciated, THANKS!!!

One was little loose. He tightened it and the problem was solved.

Check you all of your electrical connection like everyone has said. This has happened to me, it only does it when the truck is hot. When you start up your truck listen to how loud the fuel pump is, if it's loud you have a worn out fuel pump, if it's not then you got an electrical problem. When this happen to me my truck had 225,000 miles on it, I first started to notice it when my truck lost all power when trying to pass, after about a month or so I was driving through Wichita Falls and my truck died (outside temp. about 110), I had to wait 30 minutes before it would start. During this month I could hear the fuel pump when driving down the road, but did not think too much about it.
