99 sierra ecsb 4.8.

the last few weeks everytime i go to back out of the drive way and shift from park to reverse the damm thing stalls on me, consistantly ?

any ideas ? seems to be running normal otherwise

no new changes, maintenance is up to date.

Who tuned it?

 

Is the intake tube to the throttle body on tight? Also, I know it's a long shot, but a plugged trans cooler will cause this...

 

HMMMM i just installed a flt tranny and 40k trans cooler, i used the flush they provided on the lines.

 

Interesting...the tranny cooler thing is an old ASE question lol, I've never actually seen it happen though. I'd check the intake tube first, it may have gotten cracked or loosened when the engine shifted while dropping the trans. The tube may allow unmetered air in when the engine torques while in reverse.
