For some reason the search wont work on this site. I wanted to see if there are any step by step w/ pictures of an install of a tranny/oil cooler on a 4l60e silverado.. i thought there was one on here a while back.. but i cant find it on yahoo and the search here wont work...

HELP!

Did your truck come with one stock? If so it is simple, If not.....you have some work ahead of you.

what size is good to use anyways for those things, i have a factory one, but i pull that dipstick out and its enough to burn ya i think lol, i wanna go bigger but not get to big that would hurt it????

I know this is an old thread and I have tried searching but cant find much on the different tranny coolers. I looked at the GM factory Aux cooler but some say it is not big enough and too expensive...seems like the TransGo 28000 and B&M 24000 have been recommended here for a 5.3 Chevy engine....anyone else have an opinion? How do I know which size, i.e. 28K or 24K...more or less? Help please!

not my truck, but an awesome picture to keep on hand

i got the transgo 28,000 with thermal bypass and it works great. install was about 30 minutes, and it had all the necessary parts.
